ARE YOU SAVED?

First, you need to know that you will be judged when you die. The standard of judgment is perfection. Have you ever sinned? In the column below, there are a few questions for you. Just answer each question honestly and see how you do. Keep in mind, the bible says that a "yes" to any of these questions means your guilty of all of them. The punishment for guilt is eternity in hell. Hell is a place we will learn more about on the following pages. If you think you are good enough to get to heaven, then you need to know that the bible tells us there is none good no not one. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, so you can't work your way to heaven. Jesus did the work on the cross, so we would not have to serve our punishment.  Jesus was beaten, bled, and suffered the shame of the cross for us. All he asks is that we believe in him, to keep us from our due punishment.

Have you ever lied?
If you have, that makes you a liar.
Have you ever stolen anything (this includes taking extra breaks at work)?
If so, that makes you a thief.
Have you ever looked at a person of the opposite sex and had lustful thoughts?
That makes you an adulterer at heart.
Have you ever cursed using the name of God or Jesus?
   That makes you a blasphemer.
Have you ever looked at what someone else has with desire to have the same thing, including their spouse?
   That makes you covetous.

These are just some of the commandments that you will be judged by. You also might want to know that the bible tells us if you break any one of these, you are guilty of them all.

Don't be alarmed though, there is an alternative to "HELL". Know that you are a sinner. Romans 6:23 tells us, "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. If you will confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe with your heart, that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart we believe unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. When you agree with this, you need to pray this prayer, or one like it:

"God, heavenly father, I know that I am a sinner. I confess those sins to you. I open my heart to you Lord and ask you to abide in me from this day forth. Lord, save me from an eternity in hell and guide me through the rest of my life. Keep me safe from satan and his minions. Help me to live my life for you Lord, in Jesus name, I pray. Amen."

If you prayed this prayer, or one that makes the same commitment to Jesus, then you are a child of God. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. Your sins are separated from you as far as the east is from the west.
